Format and Technical Aspects – (As required by Instructor)

Format described below is for Lab Reports ONLY. Failure to follow the format for a lab report will result in loss of points for your lab grade.
All four margins 2.5cm. You must have a 2.5 cm margin on ALL sides of the lab report – top, bottom, left and right. Do not use the red margin line in the lab books as a guide, use a ruler. The only exception to this format is the lab report title, which can be written in the top margin.
Lab title on every page of lab. EVERY page of the lab report must have the lab title on the top. Record title of lab and page number the lab BEGINS on in Table of Contents in the front of your lab book.
Every section has a heading. Use the section titles under the Aspect column of the lab rubric.
Page number of every page. You must have a page number in the bottom outside corner of each page – both front and back. Page numbers MUST be done in pen, blue or black ink.
Sections out of order. Lab report is to be neat with each section clearly identified. The order of each section is to be maintained. Generally you will lose 10 points is the sections are out of order.
End of lab must have a bibliography. References must be in APA format
Notes and other handouts/assignments put into the lab book which are NOT Lab reports only need to have the page numbers in the bottom outside corner written in pen. Formatting for non-lab report assignments will vary as indicated by your instructor.
